Is there any maximum image width guideline on this board? The reason why I ask is that most of my photos are on RailPictures, which has photos as 1024px wide.
It makes me look like an arsehole trying to increase the hit counter if I just post a link to a shot on that site, but I don't mind posting the actual image on here. Just not sure if 1024px is too wide.

It can tend to piss people off. Then again, people also seem to prefer photos rather than links.
If you're feeling particularly industrious, there is free software out there that'll shrink photos nicely for you (Google "Batch Thumbs" which is one I've used), or I suspect you can even do it in MS Paint.
If you couldn't be arsed doing that, then maybe just post 'em in a new thread with "WARNING: wide photos" in the title. But we don't have any actual rules on any of this.

Or put them through PhotoBucket, automaticly come out at 640 x 480 should suit most folk.

Is there any way you could enable the use of <img> HTML tags on here? The [img] bbCode ones don't allow for custom width/heights.
