HTML is already allowed - check the bottom of yer post and there lies a checkbox called 'Disable HTML Code'. Make sure that is unchecked and you can HTML to your heart's content.

I actually seem to remember the HTML width and height attributes not working on boards such as this. Maybe that's changed though. I do know that what message board software calls an ability to use HTML is more accurately an ability to use certain HTML tags but not others.

Definitely unchecked, a test with the RB header image, it just gives me: (sorry, couldn't get it to display properly within code tags)

But if I use
Code:

I'll probably get thoroughly reamed with this suggestion.... buuuut, I am liking the [bigimg] tags they created at The Other Place that automatically resize pic to 800x600.

Any chance of something similar happening here?

I think they're a good idea too, but as far as I'm aware, they are not possible here at the moment.

How odd, I came in ere' to make that same suggestion.

VBAndy's Casa Dela shithole is connected to the web via dial-up connection. All these purdy shots in full size form, including ones I upload...makes for a 30 minute fucking wait for pages to load so I can see said purdy pictures.

Now I know, I should go get broadband. But fuck yas...just add the big image codes and all is shmick And you

There are plenty of photo hosting sites that offer thumbnail images as links to bigger pics. That seems to me to be a fairly good option.

Found this tutorial on how to do it. Not sure if there's restrictions on your side, but you could try this if you get a spare hour.

I use this to display clickable thumbnails from the thumbnails that display on your Photobucket main page. The thumbs have th_ added to the filename when the photo is uploaded.

Code:

[URL=http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f13/davidrowe/Signals_Thoopara.jpg][img]http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f13/davidrowe/th_Signals_Thoopara.jpg[/img][/URL]

Which shows this:
