I nearly lost it this arvo. Got a f@#$ing massive bill full of all sorts of shite I never asked for or agreed to. FOr some stupid reason I went to Telstra when I set up my business two months ago. Now it seems the arse-stabbers will bleed me to death before I get going. Each bill is bigger and more incomprehensible than the last. Ringing them is death by water torture. Have found a Telstra Complaints (unofficial) website and will follow this one to the death (probably mine) to get this fixed.

They ignore their own contracts. I have proof. I have a wireless card, I threatened to take them to the ombudsman for breach of contract. They gave me money to compensate for the loss. They are the most chronically stupid, arrogant bunch of cunts on the planet.
They have, for the present, the control of the technology that I need. I have no choice but to use the cunts.
You might all remember when they had a monopoly, if you needed the 'phones changed & you were a business then 20 blokes would turn up on a Saturday & you'ld have to pay them double time.

Have never liked Telstra. I've found a lot of the local or smaller companies take a lot more care with customers (because they need to keep all of them, I imagine).
But this past month we've gone back to Telstra because they had a foxtel/home phone/internet deal. So far so good, but I hope I don't have to deal with some of the shit you poor bastards have.

Then, 23 months later, just as you're about to sign the dotted line again, Big T calls up, and offers you a deal the opposition cannot match, at a price less than half what they charge loyal customers.

Just to show how dumb these cunts at Telstra are, a while back I had my broadband disconnected, so I phoned them and got the usual bullshit, finally I got through to someone who understood and checked up on my connection. Failure to pay the bill, what bloody bill you have not sent me any.
Check on our website and enter your name and password and you will see the bill needs to be paid. I then replied how dumb do you think I am, how the hell can I check your website if I cannot access the internet, you dumb turkey. Finally after about an hour or so on the phone it was all sorted out after I had to pay 6 months of broadband access by credit card. Now the bills all arrive dead on time and hopefully it will continue!

I had a very similar story, but with Optus and Bwanette's mobile. Turned out the bimbo that filled in the form for us couldn't read her own writing, and was too stupid to make the link that Bwanette and I live together, not next door to each other. As a result the 6 in our address had been entered as 8, and they were getting our bills next door, and despite knowing my first name they hadn't clicked that the bills adressed to someone of that name might actually be for their next door neighbour.
Took about a week, had to buy a new sim card because apparently now if they cut off a sim card that's it, there's no going back. even after paying 6 months of mobile bills and buying a sim card it still took them a few days to get the phone back up and going - fuck if it was a new connection we would have been running within the fucking hour! Plus getting a $300 cancellation fee, which took a month to be removed. _________________ It's Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees - Oils.

I've just done thw switcharoo with my Wireless broadband going baack to Telstra because the Optus product waspur, unadulterated shite. A bull on laxatives couldn't compare to their Wireless Broadband service. So We's gladly pay out whatever the early termination fee is and fuck off back to Telstra. During the 4 or so months with them, Optus managed to send 3 of my bills to some poor lacky down the road, despite having the correct residential address on the account. When I asked "Just who in Optus authorised the change of address?" They couldn't answer it, and insisted I pay the late payment fee. Fucken arseholes.
Now to Telstra..., as I "canceled" the original Wireless BB service I had with these useless cunts, I have to buy a new modem at $300, notwithstanding I've got one sitting at home that is perfctly fine to use. "Oh no Sir, when you cancel a service, we list that device as blocked"...I didn't think it was legal to restrict access to something I owned outright but anyway...
While we're in there, we ask what kind of deals they can do on two mobiles for m'self and the KRviatrix on the one plan. "Oh, none sir, we can put them on the same account, but that's it.".
At least Optus you can call between them for free for the first 5 minutes. And they've got a better internet access package for the mobiles too. So I've gone back to Optus for my mobile and my home internet back to Telstra.

I am glad this thread is here as I too am sick and fucken tired of this mob of fucked up fuckwits that work at TELSTRA. Not all mind you.
As my fellow bastards here would know my father passed away on 22nd September 2008. As my parents mobile was in his name since that date we have been trying to change this over to my mothers name. Doing everything we had been fucken told to do front up at the Telstra shop (Bowral) only to be told by the ignorant little bitch (Krystal) that is the store manager we didn't have the correct documentation even though we had what we were fucken told to bring. Rang TELSTRA when got home and they emailed me other forms which were compiled and mailed in as advised.
Next month nothing had fucken changed bill turns up still in fathers name. Mother went in to Bowral store again (not Krystal this time) and this time they put it through from there. Still nothing fucken happens.
Come today we get Mobile Bill for $150+ and still in fathers name. How in satans playground the bill reached that amount we don't know because the bill being in dads name and not mums she can't ask the question over the fucken phone.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON AT TELSTRA
I know that all these little Telstra shops are franchises, at least I suspect they are, so what sort of training and qualifications for that matter do these staff actually have.
Now I know the banks get a bad rap in the media but there was no trouble changing account at St George from dual account to one name. Even at Westpac cancelling dads credit was one visit.
Why is it so fucken hard for fucken Telstra to get this simple name change right
AHH that feels fucken better getting that off my chest.
Mum has just been on phone with Bowral (Krystal again) who know says it has been changed over. So I ask if she could do it within 5 minutes this afternoon why couldn't it be done 2 months ago. Lets just hope she got it right this time
1615 update: Now cant get the details until billing period ends on 11th of the month. So if the billing period hasn't ended how can we have a bill _________________

When you think about it, Telstra has the perfect business model. Absolute dominance of the market through customer inertia and owning all the infrastructure so they can screw competitors combined with being able to charge whatever they like as often as they like and there is no real way for customers to complain. Like all big companies they direct you to use their 13 numbers for any queries.
The 13 number is the greatest moat/drawbridge/broken glass/razor wire/porticullis/boiling oil defence a company can have. Especially Telstra. It's nigh impossible to get to who you want. When you get someone to talk to they lead you up the garden path listening to your problem then decide they have to transfer you to "someone in Accounts". The phone then either diverts to some faceless voicemail where you leave a stupid message and you know you will never be called back; the call drops out and you know they will never call you back; or you actually get through to "Hmm-tss-ex" in accounts (name is mumbled so you never remember it). This person then promises to set everything right with your bill and it will all be sorted when you get the next bill.
A few weeks later you get the next bill. Nothing has been fixed and the bill is now full of wording like "we're going to tear you a new ringpiece if you don't pay this by 5 days ago". There is no record of you discussion with "Hmm-tss-ex" as you didn't write down their name and thought they were telling the truth that they were going to fix things. The reality is that they were talking to you while making obscene gestures about you to their co-slaves in the worker-pit and dub in the sound effects of tapping at a keyboard to make you think you were being taken seriously.
In the end you just pay the bill and hope the next one isn't totally f$%&ed up.
But you know it will be... _________________ 26 March 2011... can't come quick enough.

A HAPPY TELSTRA STORY.
As you all know & recognise, I like to introduce positive & non-whinging subjects, generally sprinkling happy dust amongst you.
Today, I had a problem with Telstra. I won't bore you with the details but it concerned being charged for a mobile that I didn't have.
It was cleared up, albeit with questions as to why I paid for this non-existant 'phone for five months. A credit will be issued in full.
It only took 1 hour & five minutes.  _________________ Any club that wants me as a member, I don't want to join!! Groucho
