Anyone know where I can find WTT's of the Illawarra pre 1956, to look at the working instructions for the rapid turn-round service that operated at St James in peak hours. Was once told that this was the busiest dead-end in the world, in its heyday.

In it's early days of being served by rail, one could well have said the same thing about Rookwood Necropolis Wink

Rookwood is very popular, you know. People are dying to get in there.
As for dead-end lines, Sandgate also qualified for that title, as also wherever it was that they took people in the hearses pulled by Newcastle trams.
