I am proud to announce that SA Gunzel Diary 5 has now been released for January 2008. After what I considered a poor effort for part 4, I have buckled down and pushed what limited resources I have to the limit to produce a video with better graphics/text and a LOT more rail action. Included is GM 37 on the Balco before it blew up as well as sister GM 46, the soon to be forgotten sight of 3 wheelie bins on the SCT, ELs flying though on AP/PA services as well as DA1. A lot of rail action squeezed into 10 minutes.
SA Gunzel Diary 8 is now here. Back on the northline but we go further north then you think (but more on that later )
After a brief return to Islington, we travel up to the well used gunzel spot of Henske Road at Dry Creek. You don't get many spots where an NR and AN will run light engine and change directions infront of you but NR25 and AN2 did so in beautiful morning light (7:30am). Another light engine movement with EL57 and VL357 from Port Flat yard is also recorded. The finale at Dry Creek was the arrival of DA2 with FQ03-ALF23-VL352 with a very mixed consist including the usual container flats, ballast hoppers, TOFC and a lot of double stacking. Even to a South Australian, an awesome sight.
Now for the good bit. We travel into the beautiful Barossa Valley starting at Nuriootpa in pursuit of the stonie (4E52) with freshly repainted locomotives 831 and 841 on their first run after a dulux overhaul as well as 902. The chase continues through Tanunda then Lyndoch and finally Sandy Creek.
Locomotives featured include:
G, XR, NR, AN, EL, VL, FQ, ALF, 830 and 900 classes. _________________ LINK TO YOUTUBE PROFILE
An action packed episode as we now find ourselves at Port Flat yard and the surrounding area. A wide variety of movements have been recorded from QRN services from Perth, PN services from Melbourne as well as a few more localised grain and intermodal movements. Our old favourite, the Balco has been supersized with three loco combos being the norm with a longer cosist. That is just some of what has been recorded.
Locomotives include: NR, XRB, EL, VL, TL, 18, 22, 45, GM, 700 and 830 classes. _________________ LINK TO YOUTUBE PROFILE
